°¿¬¿ä¾à : In this presentation, a new wireless beacon-enabled energy-efficient mesh network, called WiBEEM, which s
upports low power-consuming mesh network with high speed device mobility and QoS for implementing u-Cit
y
services, has been proposed. The new superframe structure of WiBEEM that enables these features consist
s of BOP(Beacon-Only Period), PQP(Prioritized QoS Period), CAP(Contention Access Period), CFP (Contentio
n Free Period), and DSP(Deep Sleep Period). The energy efficient features come from the adoption of BOP a
nd beacon scheduling algorithm that allows the perfect synchronization over the entire mesh network. The hi
gh-speed mobility of the WiBEEM devices is provided by adopting the BOP concept and the new addressing s
c
heme called NAA(Next Address Available) which neither wastes the 16-bit address space, nor limits the maxi
mum number of children. The features of prioritized QoS stem not only from the adoption of the PQP that ca
n be accessed only by the traffic discriminated by the user priority, but also the different values of the back
o
ff numbers corresponding to user priority. More detailed characteristics of WiBEEM technology will be presen
t
ed when the real talk in given.
