Basically, Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) implies that users who have any kinds of IP devices are able to
enjoy various multimedia services including television regardless of their location. Mobile IPTV is a technology
that expand IPTV services to mobile networks, through which mobile users can get IPTV services even while
o
n the move. Currently, ITU-T is at the front head of standardization on IPTV including Mobile IPTV. This prese
ntation provides the current status of Mobile IPTV standardization, and presents various approaches related
to Mobile IPTV and technical challenges that should be overcome to enable enhanced Mobile IPTV services. I
n addition, this presentation proposes an efficient signaling scheme to support quality of service (QoS) for M
o
bile IPTV services. |
